Frequently Asked Questions

What to expect in yoga classes?

You will be invited to participate in movement, breathing & relaxation exercises. All activities are suggested, not compulsory & all participants are encouraged only to work as hard as feels comfortable without any pain or strain. Wear clothing that is comfortable & allows you to move freely. In cooler months, it can be useful to have layers to wear or take off as needed.

What to expect in baby classes?

You are welcome to attend with your baby at any time, including when they need a sleep, a feed or a nappy change. It may be that you don’t get to do some parts (or even all of that class!), if you’re caring for your baby, but you are still encouraged to attend, as you will gain skills to take & practice at home with your baby. Dolls are available for practice should your baby choose to sleep.

What equipment do I need?

Mats are available, though you are encouraged to bring your own for yoga & somatic movement classes. These classes also frequently use extra props, such as yoga blocks, balls, stretchy bands & blankets. I can help you with any supplies you might need.

For ante-natal & post-natal classes I provide mats, though you may use your own if you prefer. For baby classes, you might like to use a soft towel, blanket or muslin cloth to cover the mat & keep baby cosy.

How do class passes work?

Class passes are available for ante-natal yoga & general yoga & somatic movement classes. You can choose a six week pass (valid for three months once issued) or a ten week pass (valid for six months). The validity term is for three or six months of classes, so does not include times where classes are cancelled due to holidays or illness. Passes are non-returnable & carry no other monetary value. With the exception of pregnancy classes, when the balance of a pass may be used towards baby classes, the passes are not transferable or refundable.

Parent & Baby Courses

You commit to attending all classes of the course at the time of booking. Your place is secured on receipt of a non-returnable, non-transferable deposit (half of the current course fee). If you are unable to attend a single class from your course, it may be possible to attend a “catch up” session virtually, if a suitable time can be agreed. If you have to cancel the course, you may find a replacement participant & all monies will be transferred to the new booking. Otherwise, you can defer to a later course, but will need to pay the deposit again. Catch up sessions are not guaranteed.

COVID policy

At the present time there are no local or national restrictions in place, however, I strongly suggest that if you are unwell that you DO NOT attend the classes. If you are attending the baby massage course, it may be possible to arrange a catch up session online. If the teacher is unwell, classes may be cancelled at short notice. In this event your class pass validity will be extended by one week. For the massage course, the cancelled session will be offered online at another time.
